I first learned of these at my cousins baby shower. They set up a tree so that we could all write blessings and/or wishes for the baby.
Now that I'm writing this I remember also seeing it on another blog that that I love.
So as we were cleaning off the table I was thinking of what to put as a Thanksgiving centerpiece and I knew it would be perfect.
(Is your dining room table a "catch all" kinda spot? Mine is! Mail, tools my husband was using for his paintball gun, sweaters, mail, purses and keys. Oh my gosh! I will be doing my BEST to keep it cleared after trying to clean it up today. It'll be nice with the centerpiece and nothing else.)
The vase was emptied and stuffed with tissue paper and twigs I got from the back yard.
I cut out leaves from scrap book paper.
First thankful leaf was from Riah. I asked her what she was thankful for. She needs yes and no kinda questions, shes only (almost) 2.
Me- "are you thankful for Daddy?"
Riah- "yea"
Me- "are you thankful for soda"
Riah- "yea, soda!"
Dad- "are you thankful for juice?"
Riah- "nummy juice!"
Me- "are you thankful for elmo?"
Riah screaming- "ELLMOOO!!!! *giggle*"
There you have it. First thankful leaf has scribbles on one side and ELMO on the other.
What are YOU thankful for? Share in the thankful party up top!
ps. I'm thankful for Jennifer. Thanks for a fun night, love you!
