Does He fit into your life?

"Stop trying to fit Him into your life; instead build your life around Him."

I have no idea where I got that quote. But I sure need to hear it. I wrote it down as a draft to go back and write about at a later time.. and that was over a year ago. I think It's been waiting for me to find it.
I try to fit God into my life. I get upset if I forget to pray enough or read my bible enough. I want to fit God into my life but other things get in the way and I wind up just missing Him. Like a friend that lives far away. Only He isnt far away.

{On Christ the solid rock I will stand, all other ground is sinking sand.}
There's things I'm doing to build my life, and my childrens life around Him. I think the Lord would tell me I am doing better than I think. For example.
...My daughter loves her bedtime prayers, even if we dont pray every night. She knows when the prayer is done and says her "amen" before I do.
...She loves when I have music on and half the time it's worship music. She's learning about Jesus through the music.
...We take her to church most weeks. She witnesses a room full of people worshiping the Lord and she looks intrigued.
...She has a card with the Lord's prayer on it and a picture of Jesus on the other side. Recently she saw it up high on the mirror. "Mommy my Jesus! I need my Jesus!" Now, I know she was just wanting her little card but in my heart I could only feel so blessed. She knows her Jesus even at age 2. Someday I hope and pray that will be the cry of her heart. To need and want her Jesus.

I'm happy I found this quote. I want to learn how I can build my life around Him instead of just measly fitting Him into my schedule.
Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

"It is the moments that we live fully present with the Lord, walking forward with Him that makes life sweet and precious and simple.
The moments, minutes, hours and days you experience ARE your life.
It isn't coming some day or when you get a new job, or car, or move, or, or, or... It is here now and you can find ways to cherish it and live it fully.
You are making your life with every breath you take, every moment you ignore, every choice to be present right now or to think only in the future."

First steps for the day? Veggie Tails for my toddler and Ephesians 1-4 for a thirsty Momma.
